Lessons have been assigned to them based on their diagnostic test results both in Math and Reading. Within each lesson are brain break games. The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all.

Premiere Rush

Adobe Premier Rush

Adobe Premiere Rush is the free mobile and desktop video editing app for creativity on the go. Wherever you are, from your phone to your computer, you can shoot, edit, and share high-quality videos. Fun, intuitive, and as fast as social media, it’s the easiest way to star in your followers’ feeds.

2 Tour the Interface in Premiere Rush CC-1080p.mp4

Open Premiere Rush

To start a new project, simply click on the blue “Create a New Project” button

We need to add media

For our beginning project, let's select Sample Media from below

Select the media on the right. Notice, RUSH adds the media in order YOU select them! So you can preview how your media will be layed out at the bottom of this screen.

Give the project a name: First Name Last Name TOUR

Click CREATE (wait for Rush to prepare media)

Editing workspace

On the top left, there is a blue +.

Here you can add more elements. Such as titles, more media like videos or music or here you can even record a voiceover.

Project Assets: Box Icon

Below the blue + is a BOX ICON

This will open up your project panel and here you will see all the media you selected for your project.

Hover over this media to scrub through and review it.

When you select the clip, you can also add it to your timeline by hitting that blue add button.

Once you're done with this project panel, you want to close it, just click back on the box icon and it shrinks away.

Preview Monitor and Controls...

Move the Blue Dot under the main media image

You will see a preview of the video at the timecode. As you move the blue dot, it will also more the playhead and the timeline below. (Tip: next to the timecode is the entire duration of the video)

Tip: if you hover over any button, it will bring up a friendly tip that describes what the button can do and also shows the keyboard shortcut.

Aspect Ratio...

Rush is super awesome with being flexible!

You can change the video's orientation. Right now it's landscape because Rush sets the aspect ratio based on your source media (computer), but you can always change it to a different one.

So for example if you click on square (1:1) it will automatically change your orientation to a square. Choose portrait (9:16) if you want to create a vertical video, let's say for IGTV. So this is one of Rush's most unique features. The ratios given are perfect for most social media platforms today!

Let's make sure it is back on landscape (16:9).

Tip: if you hover over any button, it will bring up a friendly tip that describes what the button can do and also shows the keyboard shortcut.

Editing and customizing...

You will find your editing in timeline tools on the bottom left of the screen.

Let's duplicate the boat scene...select the boat media file

Click the Duplicate icon (+)

Now there should be 2 boat media files in your video

Cutting frames...

You can split clips into multiple clips

Select the playhead and move it half way (or whereever) in the first boat clip

Now click the cut icon on the left (scissors)

It's as simple as that!

Sound....

Let's look at the audio we have on our video now.

Click the Dreamfan1 audio (looks like sound waves) at the bottom.

Notice on the left there is a music symbol. This indicates that the sound is music and not talking etc.

Take a closer look at the other media...

If you take a closer look at the other media (videos) there are sound waves attached!

Sometimes it works to have both, but sometimes it doesn't!
