Students click on the Clever icon on the desktop 

Sign in using the username & password (same as logging into computer)

Click on the square that says iReady 

Continue until time is up!

Lessons have been assigned to them based on their diagnostic test results both in Math and Reading. Within each lesson are brain break games. The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all. 

Using what we have learned!

Let's create some basic Christmas items!

First...

Let's work on the SANTA'S HAT layer!

TURN the SANTA'S HAT LAYER ON!

Turn ALL the other Layers OFF! 

Make sure you have selected the SANTA'S HAT layer

Use the Ellipse tool (L)

Make A bunch of circles like shown in the image (left)


Tip: there are about 12-13 circles all different sizes but they are bunched together!

Combine the circles!

Click the UNITE icon

Select ALL (ctrl + A)

Open Pathfinder by selecting the Window tab and selecting Pathfinder




Click on the UNITE icon (1st icon) to combine the circles!


Press Ctrl + S to SAVE!!! Do this often!


 

Create the hat...

Use the polygon tool...

Click and pull...HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY... to make A TRIANGLE.

If it has more than three sides, pull the widget on the right side up until it is a triangle!

Change the fill color RED

With the SELECT TOOL (V)

Reshape and move the hat to half way through the circles

Right click the triangle

Select Arrange>Send to Back

Use the Ellipse tool (L)

Make a circle to the top of the hat like shown in the image (left)


Tip: hold the SHIFT key down for a perfect circle!

Group your shapes!

Select ALL (ctrl + A)

Press Ctrl + G to group the shapes!

Press Ctrl + S to SAVE!!! Do this often!


SHOW ME ON YOUR SCREEN!!

Do not close Illustrator until your work is verified!!!

Now...try these!

To save computer memory for other students using the computers....

We will CLOSE THE PROGRAM! 

Click the X on the top right corner of Illustrator!
