Lessons have been assigned to them based on their diagnostic test results both in Math and Reading. Within each lesson are brain break games. The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all.

What you NEED to know!!!!
WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Adobe Photoshop
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Adobe Photoshop, computer application software used to edit and manipulate digital images. Photoshop was developed in 1987 by the American brothers Thomas and John Knoll, who sold the distribution license to Adobe Systems Incorporated in 1988.
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will practice different tools and techniques and gradually show your success!
Left click the DOWNLOAD button on the top right
This will save the file to your Arts & Media folder!
SAVE (as) YOUR DOCUMENT!
Shortcut: Shift + Ctrl + S
(or File: SAVE AS)
Save to YOUR COMPUTER!
Click the Save on Your Computer button
On the left click THIS PC
Select Desktop
Select Arts and Media Folder
Name the document:
"First Name Last Name COMPOSITE"
Click SAVE
Cut out your object. Use the Object Selection Tool or Select Subject!
Select the Model layer and choose the OBJECT Selection tool. Select the model.
Notice how the model is highlighted BEFORE you click?
Then click Select Subject > Select and Mask to open a workspace where you can refine the selection.
Clean up your selection.
The Select and Mask workspace has multiple View Modes. Choose the one that allows you to best see your selection as you work (like On Layers). Then, click Refine Hair to include the detailed edges of the model’s hair in the selection and click OK to exit Select and Mask workspace mode.
Tailor your selection.
Click and hold the Object Selection tool to find the Quick Selection tool. Use the add and subtract options in the top menu to refine your selection even further. Above, we added back parts of the model’s hat and subtracted the lower right part of her jacket. See the before and after of our selection refinements below.
Cut it out.
With the Model layer selected, click the mask button at the bottom of the Layers panel.
The LENSES...
Click the image thumbnail on the Model layer. Then, use the Quick Selection tool again to select the lenses.
To fill the sunglasses with the pattern from the layer below, make sure the mask thumbnail is still selected, then right-click, choose Fill, set the Contents to Black, and click OK. Use Control + D to deselect the lenses.

Press Ctrl + S to SAVE!!! Do this often!
Prepare the fabric.
Use the Move tool to center the subject on the Model layer.
Then, make the top layer visible, click the add layer mask button at the bottom of the Layers panel, and press Control + I to invert the mask from white to black.
Cut your pattern.
SELECT THE MODEL LAYER...Use the Quick Selection tool to select the jacket and accessories.
Then, click the MASK on the FLORAL BG COPY layer, right-click, select Fill, and fill the selection on the layer mask with White.
Add some style.
Click the Layer Style button and choose Inner Shadow.
Press Ctrl + S to SAVE!!! Do this often!
Add some dimension.
Fine-tune your shadow to add depth to the edge. Try the settings in the image above!
Press Ctrl + S to SAVE!!! Do this often!
SHOW ME ON YOUR SCREEN!!
Do NOT close PHOTOSHOP until your work is verified!!!
