Lessons have been assigned to them based on their diagnostic test results both in Math and Reading. Within each lesson are brain break games. The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all.

What you NEED to know!!!!
WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Adobe Photoshop
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Adobe Photoshop, computer application software used to edit and manipulate digital images. Photoshop was developed in 1987 by the American brothers Thomas and John Knoll, who sold the distribution license to Adobe Systems Incorporated in 1988.
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will practice different tools and techniques and gradually show your success!
Use your photo on a Magazine cover!
We need to grab a file first!
Click the Ps Image on the left!
Left click the DOWNLOAD button on the top right
This will save the file to your Arts & Media or downloads folder!
Quick Tip! After you click the download button, notice on the top right corner the download should appear...simply click the file to open!
SAVE (as) YOUR DOCUMENT!
Shortcut: Shift + Ctrl + S
(or File: SAVE AS)
Save to YOUR COMPUTER!
Click the Save on Your Computer button
On the left click THIS PC
Select Desktop
Select Arts and Media Folder
Name the document:
"First Name Last Name TIME"
Click SAVE
Based on the info below...create yourself on the TIME magazine cover!
Using the TYPE TOOL (T)...Add the text below!
Open the folder that has ALL of your classmates images including YOUR IMAGE! (either Downloads or Arts & media Folder)
Now, DRAG YOUR IMAGE file to the photoshop document!
Once it is there...double click it!
NOTE: you might need to resize your photo! (Edit>Transform>Scale)
SHOW ME ON YOUR SCREEN!!
Do NOT close PHOTOSHOP until your work is verified!!!
When you are done...
Let's EXPORT your file!
FILE>EXPORT>EXPORT AS
Settings...
Format: JPG
Quality: 7 (high)
Click EXPORT (Leave the rest alone!)
Go to our Classroom in TEAMS
Select Assignments
Select
Photoshop: MAGAZINE COVER!
Scroll down to MY WORK
Click +ATTACH
Click UPLOAD FROM THIS DEVICE
Find the JPG file we EXPORTED!
REMEMBER! YOU ARE ATTACHING THE JPG File!
Wait for files to upload
File will show up below under My Work
CLICK TURN IN!
NOTE: There MUST be an JPG file attached to get credit. Simply clicking TURN IN will not do!!!
This project will be worth 25 Points!
