The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all.

WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Adobe Photoshop

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Adobe Photoshop, computer application software used to edit and manipulate digital images. Photoshop was developed in 1987 by the American brothers Thomas and John Knoll, who sold the distribution license to Adobe Systems Incorporated in 1988.  ​

HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED:  You will practice different tools and techniques and gradually show your success!

Cut out a building with the Polygonal Lasso

Make straight-sided selections with the Polygonal Lasso tool to cut out a building from the background.

In-app guidance!

You'll get step-by-step instructions that guide you around the interface.

Click:

Open Creative Cloud Desktop App

Follow the in-app tutorial!

Click (on the pop up) START TUTORIAL

Begin!

Pop up screens will show you how!

Hiding more in the layer mask (this is beyond the tutorial!)

Select the Layer Mask (You should see a white key-line around it if selected)

Now use a selection tool...either Rectangular Marquee or Polygonal

Select each section of the windows!

Make sure BLACK is the foreground color selected on the left in the tool bar

Select EDIT>Fill

In the popup box make sure Foreground Color is selected

Click OK


What happened?

Hide the door

Using what you have just learned, select and hide the front door using the same layer mask!

SAVE (as) YOUR DOCUMENT!

Shortcut: Shift + Ctrl + S

(or File: SAVE AS)


Save to YOUR COMPUTER!

Click the Save on Your Computer button

On the left click THIS PC

Select Desktop

Select Arts and Media Folder

Name the document: 

"First Name Last Name HOUSE"

Click SAVE

SHOW ME ON YOUR SCREEN!!

Do NOT close PHOTOSHOP until your work is verified!!!

To get credit!

Raise your hand and show me on your screen! Then...

Click UPLOAD FROM THIS DEVICE

Look for the File we just saved!


NOTE: There MUST be an Adobe Photoshop file attached to get credit. Simply clicking TURN IN will not do!!!
