The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all.

Let's Make a Christmas Card!
Using our skills we learned this quarter!
Left click the DOWNLOAD button on the top right
This will save the file to your Arts and Media folder!
Quick Tip! After you click the download button, notice on the top right corner the download should appear...simply click the file to open!
SAVE (as) YOUR DOCUMENT!
Shortcut: Shift + Ctrl + S
(or File: SAVE AS)
Save to YOUR COMPUTER!
Click the Save on Your Computer button
On the left click THIS PC
Select Desktop
Select Arts and Media Folder
Name the document:
"First Name Last Name Card"
Click SAVE
Illustrator OPTIONS...

CHRISTMAS CARD!
Today you will make a Christmas Card using some of the things we have learned in Adobe Illustrator!
LAYERS...What you need to know!
Working Layer (and any additional layer you create are open)
Margin layer and Crop marks are locked
KEEP LOCKED LAYERS: Keep it LOCKED! No touchy!
On the internet a ALOT (i mean ALOT!) of websites where you can find fonts...
Unfortunately, not all of these websites are safe!
One of the best places (aside from ADOBE) is dafont.com
Use fonts and copy art that you have created to make a card!
With the TYPE tool
Click once on the artboard and type words
Try using WARP effects on your text!
And change the color!
Start designing!
Use envelope distort (Make with warp, or Make with top object)
or create a path and then type on a path
Remember to use color and size to show emphasis (in the Properties Panel!)
Copy and paste art from Xmas file!
CRITERIA
Your card must have at least 2 Christmas elements: 10 Points
Card Must have Greeting on Front! (Like Merry Christmas etc): 10 Points
Your name must be on the backside, change the color!: 5 Points
OPEN YOUR XMAS FILE
Click the HOUSE on the top left of your screen and OPEN the XMAS file we worked on!
Put your NAME logo on the back!!!
Remember to change the color!
TIP: If you cannot find it in your Arts and Media Folder, go look at the My Name.ai assignment on Teams or click the button below (if you turned it in!)!
Need shapes or drawn elements?
Open a previous file and copy and paste!
