Lessons have been assigned to them based on their diagnostic test results both in Math and Reading. Within each lesson are brain break games. The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all.

Using what we have learned!
Let's create some basic Christmas items!
Left click the DOWNLOAD button on the top right
This will save the file to your Arts & Media folder!
Quick Tip! After you click the download button, notice on the top right corner the download should appear...simply click the file to open!
SAVE (as) YOUR DOCUMENT!
Shortcut: Shift + Ctrl + S
(or File: SAVE AS)
Save to YOUR COMPUTER!
Click the Save on Your Computer button
On the left click THIS PC
Select Desktop
Select Arts and Media Folder
Name the document:
"First Name Last Name Xmas"
Click SAVE
Illustrator OPTIONS...
Version: Illustrator 2020
click OK
The shortcut to zoom to one artboard is
With the document open...
Click on VIEW (on the top menu) and select Fit Artboard in Window! ctrl + 0
First...
Set your FILL to WHITE
Set your STROKE to BLACK

Start by selecting the TREE layer
Select the TREE Layer!
Use the polygon tool...
Click and pull...HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY... to make A TRIANGLE.
If it has more than three sides, pull the widget on the right side up until it is a triangle!
Alt, Click and Pull!
With the SELECT TOOL (V)
ALT, Click and pull down to duplicate the triangle...
Pay attention to the Magenta guides to keep the triangles aligned!
Shift key, and pull bottom, center handle!
With the second triangle still selected...
Hold the SHIFT key down and pull on the bottom, center handle to make a bit bigger (see image left)
Alt, Click and Pull!
Shift key, and pull bottom, center handle!
Repeat (above) for the third triangle!
Press Ctrl + S to SAVE!!! Do this often!
Combine the 3 triangles!
Click the UNITE icon
Select ALL (ctrl + A)
Open Pathfinder by selecting the Window tab and selecting Pathfinder
Click on the UNITE icon (1st icon) to combine the 3 triangles!
Fill with Green
With the "tree" selected, change the fill to green!
Make sure the TREE IS SELECTED with the SELECT tool.
Select the Draw Inside mode
For the ornaments, use the Ellipse tool (L)
Before we start making our circles, let's change to "DRAW INSIDE" mode
On the bottom of the toolbar there are 3 modes.
We need the Draw Inside on the right.
Tip: To toggle, press Shift D
Select the Draw Inside mode
Hover over the edge of the tree
Click and pull to make a circle (hold down SHIFT to make a perfect circle)
Notice the circle only shows on the INSIDE of the tree
Before moving to the next circle, change the fill color (you choose!)
Press Ctrl + S to SAVE!!! Do this often!
Continue making more "ornaments"
Click and pull to make a circle (hold down SHIFT to make a perfect circle)
Remember to change the fill color each time!
Once you are done making the ornaments, press SHIFT + D to turn the draw mode back to NORMAL
Using the rectangle tool (M)
Make a rectangle at the bottom of the tree
Change the fill to a BROWN color
Right click the rectangle
Select ARRANGE>Send to Back
Using the Star tool (M)
Make a star at the TOP of the tree
Change the fill to a YELLOW color
Right click the rectangle
Select ARRANGE>Send to Back
Group your tree!
Select ALL (ctrl + A)
Press Ctrl + G to group the tree!
Press Ctrl + S to SAVE!!! Do this often!
SHOW ME ON YOUR SCREEN!!
Do not close Illustrator until your work is verified!!!
