Lessons have been assigned to them based on their diagnostic test results both in Math and Reading. Within each lesson are brain break games. The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all.
OUR HEADPHONES HAVE HAD IT!
How can we convince them to come back???
Could you imagine what it is like to be headphones? The demands daily to provide music, videos and sounds to our students? The abuse they receive when they have been turned off, down or apart? The mishandling and picking of their very precious parts?
They are tossed on the floor or under the monitor without a care! They get swung around by their cords...its no fun for them and...NO FAIR!
Unfortunately, our headphones have been VERY mistreated lately! And now they are on strike (oh no!). They do have some demands before they will entertain rejoining our classroom...
An apology (minimum of 3 paragraphs) detailing how sorry we each are for damaging their fragile selves.
An agreement to take better care of ALL their equipment friends.
A promise to put them where they go at the end of each class (hmmm where do they go?)...we will practice tomorrow so they don't strike again!
Here is an example letter (please use this as a guide but use your own words!
Remember to read and fill out the backside!
Write 3 paragraphs,
5 sentences each
(total of 15 sentences!)
to convince our headphones that you will do better!
