Lessons have been assigned to them based on their diagnostic test results both in Math and Reading. Within each lesson are brain break games. The district is pushing a goal of 45 minutes per week on Online Lessons in ELA and 45 minutes per week in Math to close the gaps found in the diagnostic. Math and ELA are providing some of that time during the week, but not all.
Get to know Photoshop!
What you NEED to know!!!!
WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Adobe Photoshop
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Adobe Photoshop, computer application software used to edit and manipulate digital images. Photoshop was developed in 1987 by the American brothers Thomas and John Knoll, who sold the distribution license to Adobe Systems Incorporated in 1988.
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will practice different tools and techniques and gradually show your success!
What is Photoshop Trolling?
A designer claims to “fix” people's photos, and their requests are pretty standard, like removing the hair from someone's face. Designer then fulfills their requests, but it's just not in the way you'd expect. They'll often interpret their directions literally, which results in images that are as funny as they are bizarre!
Examples...
Below are some photos a popular designer has trolled!
Girl Falls Asleep...
Falling asleep in public places is not good...there can or will be consequences. This goes for this girl who fell asleep in a chair at her university.
Take a look at the hilarious pics below and then we will create OUR versions too!
Look from different angles...
When we turn her, what could she be doing?

Paths...
Just like in Illustrator, we can make paths.
Select Window> Paths... The Paths Panel should open (if not already open)
The path has been made for you!
In the Paths Panel, you will see a path titled GirlSleeping
Select the GirlSleeping PATH
You should see a BLUE path around the sleeping girl. This was made just like in Illustrator with the PEN TOOL
Let's make it a selection!
Sometimes we just can't use the Quick Selection tools to grab an object or subject, so we must make a path.
With the GirlSleeping Path selected, click the 4 lines on the right of the Paths Panel
Choose Make Selection
Feather Radius
Feather Radius makes the edges softer...the higher the number the fuzzier the edge. Also Resolution makes the difference too (we can discuss this later!)
For this let's just use 0
Click OK...you should now see the marching ants around the sleeping girl!
Make a Layer Mask
Click the Add a layer Mask icon on the bottom of the Layers Panel
Now let's have some fun!
Press Ctrl + S to SAVE!!! Do this often!
Go to Google and find some images to place behind the sleeping girl!
You can use the examples at the top for inspiration!
Go to google and type what you are looking for. Click IMAGES
Once you see something click the image ONCE
On the right (the larger image), right click and select COPY Image
Now paste the image and resize it to fit.
Click EDIT>Transform>Scale
Pull the edge to fit it to the artboard
Note: You might have to move the new layer to underneath the Girl Sleeping Layer!
