How to Draw a snowman!
Using what we have learned!
Let's create some basic Christmas items!
First...
Set your FILL to WHITE
Set your STROKE to BLACK
3 pt
Let's work on the SNOWMAN layer!
TURN the SNOWMAN LAYER ON!
Turn ALL the other Layers OFF!
Make sure you have selected the SNOWMAN layer
Use the Ellipse tool (L)
Make 3 circles for the snowman!
Tip: Start with the bottom circle!
Group your shapes!
Select ALL (ctrl + A)
Press Ctrl + G to group the shapes!
Press Ctrl + S to SAVE!!! Do this often!
Use the Ellipse tool (L)
Make 2 circles for the snowman's eyes!
Fill them with black!
Use the Ellipse tool (L)
Make a circle to start the shape of the mouth!
Select the top center handle
With the DIRECT SELECT TOOL (A)
Select the top, center handle
Delete it...it should be a half circle (open)
Make the line dashed...
Select the half circle with the SELECT TOOL
In the Stroke panel...
Change the Weight to 6pt
Cap to Round
Select Dashed line
Enter 2 pt for the dash and 15 pt for the gap
Press Ctrl + S to SAVE!!! Do this often!
Create a Nose...
Use the polygon tool...
Click and pull...HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY... to make A TRIANGLE.
If it has more than three sides, pull the widget on the right side up until it is a triangle!
Change the fill color orange
Using the ROTATE TOOL
With your TRIANGLE still selected, double click the ROTATE TOOL to bring up the dialog box
Enter 30 for the Angle and click OK!
With the SELECT TOOL (V)
move the "nose" to the face of the snowman and readjust the size (hold down the SHIFT key)!
Use the LINE tool
Click and pull to draw lines for the arms!
Group your shapes!
Select ALL (ctrl + A)
Press Ctrl + G to group the shapes!
Press Ctrl + S to SAVE!!! Do this often!
SHOW ME ON YOUR SCREEN!!
Do not close Illustrator until your work is verified!!!
Now...try these!
To save computer memory for other students using the computers....

Click the X on the top right corner of Illustrator!
